Awesome burger

Good service and great food. My family and I shared a 32 ounce steak special, which was awesome! Really cool decor too. Would recommend.

It's small town appeal and huge menu for starters. I used to come here as a youth with my father during hunting season to get the generous helping of fries! I never could finish them or the burger but I gave it my best shot

This is another of those off the beaten path establishments I love to go to eat. The outside seating during the warm months is pleasant and inviting. I always am made to feel like I’m at home or at the “local bar at bear camp” when I’m there. The food is definitely worth noting as well, a must stop and a beautiful ride through the valley to get there. I will continue to be a proud patron of this fine and historic establishment.

Service is extremely slow. It is best to know what you want and order it right away. Also, it can be pretty pricey.

Great time at the Murder Mystery Dinner!

I wish I could give a better review. But unfortunately I won't. Cute place , very nice staff. Our server was a great friendly guy, but had to keep apologizing for all the delays. Food was decent, but not enough to bring me back. We were 1 of the only 2 tables there this past Friday night. We walked in at 630pm. There were 9, w a reservation. They taut there burgers& wings. Which is all the table ordered. 4 outta the 9 ordered, simple fried things. Well after 25min 1 app came out. Then 15min later the other 3. When we asked how long the food was going to be, we were told the reason for delay was due to all the burgers we ordered. REALLY?¿?. Mind you, no other table came in the entire time. Who ever runs the kitchen , should either be replaced , Or find a cook that can multi task. Sad case overall, cause this is the only place within a 25 min drive in this valley.

First time back in a long time. We stopped in for drinks and it was packed with a lot of happy people around us. The outside deck and bar are a nice place to enjoy the beautiful countryside. Next time, we'll come for a meal and can probably increase the rating to 5 stars. Keep up the good work.

Friendly and attentive staff. Disappointed in our reserved table for 4 which was a round table for 6-8...way to big which made conversation difficult. Also disappointed in the fries as they are no longer fresh cut. The burger was excellent but the roll was much larger so I ended up cutting it off around the edges.

Staff great and friendly. Cold draft beer. Burger was great fresh beef. Social distanced perfectly. Cool courtyard tables in couentry setting. Classic historic bar with small deck.

Loved this place! Great food and atmosphere in the middle of the mountains. Amazing french fries. Great customer service! Nice patio and deck. Games outside and bar on the deck.

Very disappointed with this place after hearing so many good things. We got wings, clams and a few beers and paid nearly $80. The butter served with the clams tasted like it should have been served on popcorn. The wings barely had any sauce on them (flavor was not good to boot). Add insult to injury when we were boxing up leftovers and our waitress threw out a half order of wings and said "Oh I thought you were done with those." I rarely post negative comments because they generally serve little purpose but in this case I think it is justified. On top of the subpar food, not a single server in the restaurant was wearing a mask. Won't be returning...

Great place great food and staff

Was not greeted when we arrived and sat at a table next to the deck bar where lots of staff were. It was about 2pm. It wasn't that full. Waited about 10 min and then I got up and asked if I could have a menu. Waitress then came over. Food was okay. French fries were great, same as always, but she forgot our gravy, we were done with our hamburgers till she brought it out, and it wasn't full & enough to use on all the FF. And they charged be .50 on lettuce on my burger and the lettuce wasn't even nice. We had always loved to ride up, we will try it again before we find another place. Hope with the new ownership the hospitality comes back.

Out in the middle of no where well to me it is it was a great ride there beautiful roads leads you to this little gem nestled in the woods on a back road. Great food and staff if you ride google this place and plan a trip nice twisties en-route to there.

The atmosphere was excellent the service was top notch. The food was disappointing.

Had the best wings here!! It's the WHOLE WING, not these little pieces! French fries are really good, too, and you get a large portion! Seems like a little hole in the wall place but it has awesome food!!

This place is fun. Don't have overly high expectations. My burger and onion rings were awesome.

Good food, and good service. It was a busy night had to wait a while to get our food but the atmosphere made it worth it. When the food showed up everything was good.

Carsonville Hotel has always been a terrific down home casual dining our drinking establishment for many many years. We have enjoyed their steaks, burgers, clams, crab cakes, and other menu items with many different friends and together. Highly recommend them to anyone.

Excellent food and service

First time there since new owners took over. Same great food and the service is a bit quicker.

Its a great m'cycle ride, good parking off road. Food is low average, at least that's my experience in 5-6 visits. Had a plain cheesesteak and gravy fries today. Wife had pulled pork. My c-steak was burnt on edges and v well done in middle ... v well done. Fries were cold, but gravy warm. Beer .. cold! Wife said pulled pork good. My c-steak roll was toasted to hide the fact it was couple days old. (Sunday today). We will go back, I will ask for med rare cheesesteak and hot french fries. People are nice, friendly. Service was slow but had my beer ... we will go back.

Wasn't a good trip yesterday. Usually enjoyable, we have been on three separate occasions. We waited an hour for fries, a burger and wings. Wings were supposed to be mild. They were the HOTTEST tasting wings ever. Barely able to eat. But amazing enough the temperature of the wings were cold. All six. The burger was supposed to be NO cheese. Got three slices melted fast into the meat. The fries and the waitress were great though. Didn't mind the mistakes on the order if it wouldn't have been an hour wait. Guess they need some help in the kitchen. The place is usually good. Not this visit however. For $32 and a great tip for the waitress (because it wasn't her fault) expensive and not worth it yesterday. Luck of the draw I guess. Probably won't return again.

Visited Carsonville Hotel on a Sunday afternoon. Sat on the deck and listened to a live performance by Hank Imhoff. Was a wonderful afternoon with great food, great and friendly service, and great live music. Also was a beautiful drive to and from Carsonville from Harrisburg. Highly recommended!

I have been going to Carsonville for almost 40 years. I remember when the fire house was behind the hotel. ALWAYS GREAT STEAKS and WOW how about the FRIES. A must stop for a neat place out in the mountains of upper dauphin county.

Love the food, entertainment and service.

Food was amazing..I had crab stuffed shrimp...sooo good. The service was friendly and fast. Not to mention the Irish coffee...yumm!! My husband had a steak, that was good too...

Was there with a big party. We made reservations so they were prepared for us. Waited 20 minutes just for someone to take drink orders. Went downhill from there. Our poor waitress was waiting on all tables but one. So another waitress had only 1 small table. My nephew ordered chicken tenders and they came out raw. The "chili" was nothing but stewed tomatoes. It was a horrible visit that lasted about 2 hours, the service was that slow. Worst part was, the owner came out knowing that we were displeased and didn't bother to come talk to us. She completely avoided our table. That shows they don't care about their customers and we will never go back.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary there this year. It was a relaxed, shorts acceptable, atmosphere. Food and service were very good and plentiful. It was overall a terrific experiance! We WILL go back again!

Did a get together there! Food was ok. Service was sketchy. Food was brought out at intervals. Some were eating main course and others were still waiting for appetizers or salads. Fries were disgustingly cold and over cooked in over used oil that fish was cooked in as well. Will not return
